When the Principality of Aigues-Mortes was founded, Aigues-Morning was the only news newspaper in the micronation. It was published in French then in two versions (French and English) from 2017.
In May 2018, the team of volunteers who write Aigues-Morning decides to suspend publications for lack of available time due to a new professional activity. The Journal thus interrupted publication until it was taken over by Olivier Martinez, who created the independent press-media group Micropotin in June 2020 to review the development of the press in the Principality.
In June 2020, an independent press-media group Micropotin took over the editorial staff of Aigues-Morning. Its French version changes its name to Le Principotin. The Aigues-Morning format is now dedicated to English-speaking readers. The editions of these newspapers are digital and never in paper format for reasons of environmental choice. Below are archived copies from 2016 to 2021.
Since March 2021, the Principotin and Aigues-Morning editions are now published and stored on calaméo.fr
On January 15, 2022, the MICROPOTIN Group suspends Aigues-Morning publications and launches Microcosme.info, specialized information on micronations, available in 6 languages. The media has its own site and produces articles on current events, interviews with micronational personalities from around the world as well as investigations and documentaries on the Micro-World.
